Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

Candidates applying for the position of Engineering Professional must ensure that they meet the Educational Qualification, Total Experience, and Relevant Experience criteria mentioned in the table below. Failure to satisfy these criteria will result in disqualification during the interview.

 

Candidates from General/EWS category (and candidates from SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD applying against unreserved posts) should have a first-class degree or a minimum of 60% marks in the Minimum Qualification for consideration against unreserved posts. So submit the forms accordingly

 

Educational Qualification: The candidate should possess a degree recognized by AICTE from a University incorporated by an Act of Central or State legislature in India or other Educational Institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared as a Deemed University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956. Candidates who have passed Sections A & B examination of the Institution of Engineers (India), treated as equivalent to a degree by the Government of India and recognized by AICTE, will also be considered. The experience will be calculated as of June 1, 2023.

 

Relaxations & Concessions:

Reservation, relaxation, and concessions will be provided to candidates belonging to EWS/SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD/Ex-SM/J&K Domicile against reserved posts, as per the prevailing government orders. OBC(NCL)/SC/ST candidates will receive relaxation in the upper age limit against reserved posts according to government orders. PWD candidates with a relevant disability of not less than 40% will be eligible for PWD benefits and a relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit. PWD candidates must belong to the identified category/categories for which the post is advertised to apply, even if no vacancies are specifically reserved for them. Such candidates will be considered for selection based on the general standard of merit.

 

Functional Classification:

Applications received will be screened against eligibility and candidates may be shortlisted for selection. RITES reserves the right to shortlist candidates from the eligible applicants. The selection process will be based on the following weightage distribution & it should be taken care while selection process:

Experience: 10%

Interview: 90% (Technical & Professional proficiency – 60%; Personality Communication & Competency – 30%)

A merit list will be prepared for candidates who secure a minimum of 60% marks for UR/EWS (50% for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PWD against reserved posts) in the interview. Selected candidates will be appointed subject to their passing the Medical Examination as per RITES Rules and Standards of Medical Fitness.

 

Application Procedure:

Interested candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria should apply online using the registration format available in the Career Section of RITES’ official website, http://www.rites.com. Upon submission, the system will generate a “Registration No.” which should be quoted for all further communications with RITES Ltd.

 

While filling the online application, candidates should carefully and accurately provide the details of their identity proof. They should keep a copy of the submitted application form and carry it during the selection process (if called).

 

Candidates are required to attach SELF-ATTESTED SCANNED COPIES of the following documents in the given order:

 

EWS/SC/ST/OBC Certificate in the prescribed format (if applicable)

PAN Card

Any other document supporting the candidature

PWD Certificate as per the latest format (if applicable).

No documents should be required at present, but candidates may be asked to submit relevant documents at a later stage if required., hence always keep the documents at interview & verification stage

Important Notes:

Persons with disabilities are granted fee concessions if they are otherwise eligible. PWD candidates claiming age relaxation/fee concession should submit a certified copy of the PWD certificate as per the latest GOI format along with their Detailed Application Form.
