    The Constitution of India created the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) to appoint people to positions in the state government of Maharashtra. Exams including the State Civil Services Exam, the Maharashtra Agriculture Services Exam, the Maharashtra Engineering Services Exam, and the Maharashtra Forest Services Exam are all administered by the Commission. The MPSC is responsible for administering exams for employment with the state of Maharashtra’s many agencies, boards, and businesses. The Governor of Maharashtra appoints the Chairman and the other members of the Commission, which has its headquarters in Mumbai. The MPSC’s recruitment procedure is well-known for being open and effective, resulting in a huge yearly applicant pool.

     

    In general, the following steps make up the selection procedure for the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC):

     

    The first step in the selection process is the preliminary examination, which is typically an  objective- type test. Candidates must pass both the General Studies paper and the Aptitude Test in order to move on to the next round of testing.

    The primary examination is a written test of the candidate’s expertise in several areas pertinent to the position . Candidates must pass each section of the main exam before moving on to the next.

    Candidates who do well   on the primary exam are then invited to an in-person interview. The purpose of an interview is to gauge a potential employee’s character, conversational abilities, and overall fit for the position.

    Original documents must be provided for verification purposes following the interview for those who are   selected for the position. 

    Candidates are ultimately chosen based on their results in the main exam, the interview, and the verification of their documents. Depending on the nature of the position and the specifics of the job posting, the relative importance of the various steps in the selection process may change.
